As far as Mondays go, today wasn't so bad. *smiles* Anyways, when my dad gets home, I'm hoping to work on my new bookcase some more. It's about two feet wide and at least seven feet tall, and I can hardly wait to start putting books in it! *swoon* I spent most of the weekend on it, and so far it's been sanded and stained, and now just needs a couple coats of varnish.

In other news, Taylor had the most brilliant idea. You may remember she's the "vive le roi" Royalist-y friend who also shares my French 3 class. Anyways today during a meeting of the school's literary magazine staff she suggested that for Halloween this year she and I should dress up as a French Rev aristocrat and revolutionary respectively. This will probably happen, and boy, would it be fun as hell! XD Not many people would know who we were, but who cares? I'd actually have an excuse to run around in public dressed as a Jacobin. ^__^

And speaking of French Rev stuff, somehow it escaped my notice earlier, but my oh-so-sharp observation skills have finally registered that my deviantART gallery has over 1, 000 hits. So I drew a semi-chibi Saint-Just wielding a sword and proclaiming my gratitude.

Medium: 0.7 mm mechanical pencil, o1 Micron pen, and colored pencils. Touch ups in PS.

Yeah, lucky little dude. It would be amusing if Saint-Just and Camille had a duel...over Maxime. XD

But what kind of duel would really be fair? Camille would lose a physical or verbal duel, and if it was a writing/poetry contest, Saint-Just would lose...

A poetry contest, yes, but Saint-Just was a formidable writer himself.

...er, when it was non-fiction, that is. A journalism contest, perhaps?

Oh, true I suppose--although a radically different style of writing--it would be difficult to compare the two. But a journalism contest would probably be the fairest.

Or a physical contest. I mean, Camille wasn't weak. And we don't know for sure that he was smaller than Saint-Just...do we?

Well....no. But Saint-Just did have the advantage of having--well I don't know exactly what it was he did, but, I don't know--hung out on battlefields and things of that nature. Camille was slightly less....militaristic?

That's true, but he was still noted to be very thin. *sighs* I suppose we'll never know.

(Quick! Check out my latest entry before I have to leave! It's about Monsieur le Royalist.)
