Mmm, slash for computer geeks. lolz
Mayhap you've seen the new Mac ads floating around on TV? They're the ones with Justin Long (on the right) as a Mac computer and John Hodgman (on the left) as a PC.

They network themselves by holding hands. O_O Whoever wrote these commercials is a genius. However, instead of making me want a Mac, the ads have done two other (probably largely unintended) things:
1.) They've made me love my darling, sometimes dysfunctional, little PC even more.
2.) They've made me want to slash Mac and PC lyke wh0a!
So I did. *grin*
Also, in case anyone wants to see 'em, the ads are on Apple.com here. My PC kept locking up though when I tried to view them so instead I downloaded them through a PC World article. Just go here and right-click on the clip titles and choose Save As. They're only a about 2.5MB each.
Title: Am I Fat?
Fandom: computer technology
Pairing: Mac/PC
Rating: G
Summary: PC worries about his appearance.
Notes: Utter fluff. I can't believe I actually wrote this. No wait, yes, I can.
PC knew he wasn't the slimmest computer on the market anymore. He was a little older, a little slower, but still good, right? Twisting from side to side, he looked at himself in the staffroom mirror. He was not a vain machine by any stretch, but he still liked to make sure he looked nice. Unfortunately there was one little thing nagging at him...
"Mac, do you, um, do you think I'm...fat?"
"Whatever, that's nice," Mac mumbled. He was draped languidly across one of the room's pristine white couches, busy reading the Wall Street Journal.
"Mac!"
"Hmm?" The younger computer glanced up and set the magazine aside. PC sounded genuinely distraught versus the usual melodramatic distraught.
PC raked a hand through his hair sheepishly. "I think I'm fat."
Mac tilted his head thoughtfully, looking PC up and down. "Nah, you're not fat at all. You're just, uh, rotund," Mac offered, trying to put on his most charming grin.
PC glowered a little over his wire-rimmed glasses, face and ears turning a light shade of pink. "Fat, rotund... It's the same thing." He turned his back on the other computer and smoothed out his clothes and shuffled around files to try to at least even out the weight and make his stomach as unnoticeable as possible.
Mac sighed. Well, he couldn't let PC go around feeling fat. He wasn't...just a little chubby. Not that that was even a bad thing. So grinning a little, Mac stood up and snuck up behind his companion, wrapping his arms around the other computer's waist, fingers splayed across PC's soft, pudgy belly.
Blushing profusely now, PC tried fruitlessly—not to mention pathetically—to swat Mac away. His fan whirred angrily at the sudden spike in activity, and his processor attempted to work double time, but it was no use. Mac held on tightly and would not be disconnected. Finally PC was forced to give up.
"Please let go," he said plaintively.
"No," Mac replied, resting his chin on PC's shoulder instead, improving their connection stability. "Besides, I think you're stomach's endearing. Cute, even."
PC couldn't help but relax against his friend. "You do? Really?" he said, unable to keep a hopeful tone from his voice.
Mac pulled his quirky little PC closer and gave the older computer's tummy an affectionate pat. "Yeah, really."

In other news, I also have a shiny new lay-out. It's a total 180 from my last one. *grins* This one is mostly white. O_o I also used my s'Accrocher Saint-Just/Robespierre drawing for the header. And by the by, in case anyone's wondering, the words on the header are: "M'accroches, et ne me délaisses jamais." which more or less translates to "Cling to me, and never abandon me." Yes, yes, very mushy, I know…
I also have a moodtheme now! ZOMG,YES!!!11!1! It is of the dear Commodore Norrington in all his naval goodness. It's a little on the large side (100x75), but I'm quite pleased with it. Next moodtheme I go for will probably be more like 75x50 though.
Now I must make some shiny new icons… *smile*

Woah, the new layout is so adorable! ^_^ ...but you know, if you want it more... uhm... more poetic and... grammatically correct, you should say: "Accroche-toi à moi, et ne me délaisse jamais". Because "m'accroches" doesn't really work at the start of a sentence like that :/ Oh, and it's the "Impératif" tense and since it's a silly, capricious tense, it doesn't take any final "s"... and it should therefore be "Reste avec moi" too. I'm being annoying, I know; feel free to throw something at me *hides*

Your help was most appreciated, cherie. I did not know about that rule for the Impératif tense so thank you for mentioning it. I did forsee possible grammar problems so I was careful to save a .psd version of ze header for easy alterations. XD *goes to fix*

You should have seen the Daily Show.
I heard about that. I have a link to it on YouTube (w00t!) so as soon as I can use the public library's wireless again, I'm going to watch it.
