Asmodeus/Raphael art: Entangled

Some fresh art! Asmodeus and Raphael, but that is not my Raphael. This is actually halosphere's interpretation of our favorite healer. ^___^ After a four plus year hiatus, I started role-playing again the beginning of this month: halosphere's Raphael and my Asmodeus via AIM. It has been totally awesome, and I am having such a fun time! The following picture was inspired by our first thread which was set in New York City, 1929. Asmodeus wanted to start the stock market crash, and Raphael was trying to stop him.

In this part, Raphael is currently at a...disadvantage. ;3

Annnd, there's a poll in the last post. I was planning to draw something based on the results, but so far only three people voted. Any other takers? XD

Also, lately I've found myself focusing on a Beelzebub/Lucifer AU where Beelzebub didn't Fall. It's quite angsty, dark, and full of dub-con. I'm rather hesitant about posting it, but would anyone even be interested in reading about it if I did?

I note Raphael's halo and Asmodeus's bandaged hand touching him. :D And I love how you made the shadows wrapping around Raphael such a deep, consuming black in contrast to everything else. And OMG, the textures! The bed frame and the wallpaper and the carpet! The shading on the furniture and the expressions and you even have the clothing and trunk right for the period! And the black and white noir-ish look in the room, with Asmodeus and Raphael being the most colourful things in there - and even Asmodeus wouuld blend in if not for his tie and eyes. Raphael's the brightest thing in there. *flail* I wish I could draw like you.

Also, I would so read your Lucifer/Beelzebub AU. :D I have a huge thing for dubcon anyway <_< and I <3 your writing.

Before this devolved into Asmodeus being a perv, he was actually interrogating Raphael for information. When Raphael tried to use his angelic power to escape, Asmodeus grabbed onto his halo and threatened to break it. It burned the demon's hand a bit, and Raphael also managed to bite him. XD So yeah, bandages.

I like the shadows to be matte black. Also I love how people realize those are the shadows without me even having to say it, lol.

And OMG, the textures!
The wallpaper was done by shading on the cover of my dream diary (which has a raised lotus flower motif), the bed by coloring over my wooden dorm door, and for the carpet, I colored over my typewriter case which has a sort of tweed design to it.

I was going for the theme of Raphael as a candle flame about to be snuffed out in a very precarious and dark situation. So glad you enjoyed the art!

you have a typewriter? :D
Two, actually: Charles (an early 1940s Underwood Universal) and Bridget (a late 1930s Royal Companion). I use them primarily for letter-writing and occasionally for some crafty things. And that is so sad that your parents threw the typewriter out! My heartstrings, they're tugged at. I hope you get a "new" one someday.
