The opening notes instantly made me think of Hannibal playing the piano, his taste in music.... and Will walking away from it all, trying to distance himself from his sekrit luvah Hannibal *proved* it. 'Course then I thought of yer icon ^^ Ain't no use fightin', dear William...

Will: Who said I--
Sands: *clamps hand over his mouth* If I can't talk, you sure as shit ain't going to, either.
Will: Hmph. *glares*

All around me are familiar faces
...and ye show the two warring sides in his life: Hannibal and Crawford; one wanting to help our pretty-angsty-boy, and the other effectively devouring his soul one by one. Whose doing what? Or is that both are doing both? One is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and the other an angel in a devil's guise.

Worn-Out Faces...
Showing Molly, weary and terrified of what her husband's become... niiiice. (Loose frame around :20 of Josh; a flicker, but its there) And then that leads perfectly into the next lyric! Wonderful editing choice!

Bright and early for the daily races
Showing Will at his job, collaborating with Crawford as they race towards the end of their brainstorming session. Again, beautiful fit, particularly showing his frustration overriding his good manners and Hannibal completely not helping. Awww... rejection for the Will.

No expression...
Watching a family life he'll never, ever have because he's so gay for cannibalism a lone wolf. Oh, sure, he's tried to have that picture perfect snapshot of a family - house by the ocean, wife and son, bleached hair - but we know it's not for him. He loathes the danger he's forced to endure at work, yet he needs it. Desperately so.

Aww. His life...goes up in figurative flames. That perfect house o'his? Goooone. (At least I'd like to think of it that way. Oh, plot bunny! Grr...)

Find it kind of funny/find it kind of sad
OMG, girl! How the lyrics match up perfectly with the edits is just WOW! Particuraly 'kind of sad'; the tone and words go beautifully with his expression. And I do love the contrasts of those lyrics/expressions/scenes.

Ah, the good doctor! And you said no slash.... cheeky lil liar. If its Hannibal and Will, its slashy.

The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
Awww. Just..... aww. I mean, goddamn! Words can barely express how awesome this clip is. But I'll try.

The shock and hurt and betrayal in his expression just cuts ya to the quick, it really does. Dis was his sekrit lover best friend, confidante, doctor, therapist, collaborator... and he's a goddamned serial killer. Worse, he's stabbing Will. In that moment, Will's thinking that he doesn't want to live.... expressed by the gun being dropped.... like, why resist? The only person he could turn to at all hours of the night *coughcough* is the murderer, the guy Will's suppose to hunt and bring down in the name of justice just so Crawford can smile at the flashing cameras and get his name in the headlines. Will doesn't *want* to do that. Hannibal's crimes are evil, but he's not bad. Will knows this instinctively. And all those repressed emotions, the love he felt for Hannibal? Crashed, destroyed, broken to a thousand shards.

*grin* That was an unexpected clip choice. I was originally looking for tired!Molly pics for the previous lyric, and then I saw this clip, and I was all 'oooh! perfect!'

I always loved that scene in the movie. Will's totally disregarding keeping Hannibal at arm's length. He's so passionately desperate by now to catch the Toothfairy, and Hannibal is still all 'NO!'

Exactly. It's so Will's character: For that one instant he wants to just give up and give in (gun drops), but in the end, morals/virtues/etc. win out (when Will stabs Hannibal with the arrows then shoots him).

'Cos I find it hard to take
Disbelieving...no, outright refusal to believe what he's seeing. I wonder how the scene might've played out had he not been stabbed (which, by itself, confuses me; it seems a bit off for Hannibal's character, you know? Just the out-of-nowhere-SURPRISE-stab). That was an unintentional bunny, too. I wonder what that confrontation would've been like...

It's a very, very Mad World
Awww... Will at his most vulnerable moments. Death, angst, second death... he totally needs a hug. *glomps Will!muse and huggles him tightly*

The jump-cut in the song would normally be distracting, yet you made it fit so well into your narrative (plus, looking at the lyrics, I applaud the cut).

Your editing was simply fantastic and top fuckin' notch, dearling. Only faults were a few loose frames and only two that I saw. JUST TWO!

Amazing work, mein freund... damn, I'm repeating myself again... but I care not. This vid is amazing and great and any other complimentary word you wish. Fill-it-in.

Glad you liked the vid, and I'm relieved the two loose scenes were the only problem. (Not gonna try to edit them out though 'cause of clip/song timing.) I'm soooo happy with how this vid turned out. ^^

Aye, definetly... doesn't want to live, survive, or deal with this betrayal, the surgery, the life of nothingness. I think anger also plays into his stabbing of Hannibal... revenge of sorts. *blink, lightbulb* Where he stabs Hannibal with the arrows, is it not the same place Hannibal stabbed him? Or at least close to that same area? I'll have to check that out...

Took me ages to find the right expressions.
I know how that is. Can be frustrating and mind-numbing after a while but... all the work is definetly, definetly worth it.

I'll be having to do the same with two other Norton's... I want to vid Primal Fear's Aaron Stampler and, also, I want to attempt a really, really, REALLY dark version of the H/W relationship... yet the footage in RD leaves a bit to be desired. I'm thinkin' of incorporating some things from Fight Club, if I'm able.
