My university literary magazine's deadline was yesterday so I submitted a little art titled:

More like Victorian youth, haha, but I like him. He's totally period except for the hair (and possible the boots), lol. Even if this doesn't make it into the aegis magazine, I'm still considering it a smashing success. The art nouveau styling looks neat, and I really like how nicely the marker colors turned out (I'm trying to practice more with markers). It's a pretty finished piece. (Free internet cookies to anyone who can guess the building who's silhouette makes up the top of the pic.)

Oh, and for those of you who liked my characters Wilhelm and the General (from The Frozen General and The Broken Sergeant), you'll be pleased to know that the freakin' cold New Hampshire weather has inspired me to write more about my favorite Eastern front officers. *grin*

My sister says he reminds her of Adam Lambert. :D I say he's very pretteh. I'm fairly certain the building up top is Big Ben, or near it. Windsor Castle? A cathedral? My brain is mush right now.

Oooh! More Wilhelm and the General! Yayness!

*googled Adam Lambert pics* Yeah, he does a little. It's the pretteh flippy hair, haha. I'm glad you liked him, and yes, the building is Big Ben. I had hoped that the clock tower would give it away. Internet cookies for you!

Yup! They are so fun to write, and since the exact date is kinda vague, I don't have to worry uber much about historical accuracy. ^^

*giggle* She's a big fan of him, so no surprise she'd make the association. *amused* W00t! *is proud of self, despite fuzzy-headedness*

That's always good. :D

Also, my commiserations about Reynard. At least you got your files off him. ;) Good luck with getting him sorted out.

Thank you! It was really nice and relaxing doing a picture that doesn't relate to any particular character or person. I'll have to remember to do that more often. (Lol, I should draw a bunny and a scorpion. XD )

*glomps back* Haha, thank you! I'd forgotten that people had actually really liked Wilhelm and his General. *went back and read the comments on the original fic posts* Anyways a Norwegian song inspired the first story (a serious three part fic), but after teh srs bsnss is over there will be unrepentant Wilhelm/General porn. Also drawings (not porn) since I've finally decided what the General looks like. ^^

Thank you, and thank you too, Nels. Hopefully poor Reynard's problem won't be too serious.

I actually drew cute bunnies back in the day (and we're talkin' waaaaay back). XD Yup, that one's finally coming along. I don't usually do teh sex/naked drawings so that took a bit longer. It'll be wrapped up before the end of the month. *is trying to get various side projects finished before nanowrimo*

It's 170 by the Kaizers Orchestra. You can listen to it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCrE7-Ya3sk), and this (http://humon.deviantart.com/art/Is-the-coast-clear-138204875) DA page has some translated lyrics. It's, er, not a happy song.

Thankies. And in the meantime while I'm bonding with Pentheus the netbook, I can try to figure out the mysteries of using his webcam.

I'm sorry about Reynard, as I (unfortunately) know that random BSoD absolutely sucks! I'm not too sorry though, as you have Pentheus and so I am also slightly jealous. *grabbing motions*

What are you tackling for NaNo this year? If you're registered on the website, you should add me (http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/524571) as a writing buddy!

Pentheus is a sweet little thing. So tiny and portable. *cuddles* But not really meant to be used as a fulltime workhorse computer. *pets the poor dear* Despite that, netbooks = awesome. ^^

Have added you! You'll see me as scrane1781.
As for my story, it's going to be another biblical one and a combination of two shorter stories.
Part I takes place in the late Victorian Era in England. Maliel, of the very low Angel rank, is sent by the Vatican to help out one of their patrons. However, Maliel ends up in over his head when he has to pit wits against the significantly more powerful demon Vaevra (who is badass and eats people and is also the son of Asmodeus [however, that last bit isn't at all pertinent to the story and may not even come up]). At first Maliel thinks he's on the right track and will be able to rescue the patron's daughter, Patricia, but Vaevra is quite wily and almost succeeds in eating them/draining their lifeforces, but Patricia and Maliel get away at the last minute.
Part II takes place during the early 1900s and is basically round two in the trenches. The Vatican needs to recover an important artifact (that, in the wrong hands, could help start the Apocalypse), and Maliel in desperation strikes a deadly bargain with Vaevra to help hunt down the artifact.
Also it is Totally Not Yaoi . XD

Haha, and that was probably more than you'd care to know. How about you though? What are you writing about?

I love the badass, people-eating Vaevra already.

The prep for this is brain-breaking. Basically, time colonists send nanobots back before the Second Android War to reanimate certain people killed by corporate assassins and set up an invasion with the goal to redirect the course of future-history.

Thank you! I figured you probably would. XD He works for the the Third Circle (Belphegor and Belial's) so now I'm just trying to decide how creepy/crazy I want to make him, haha.

Wow, and I thought some of the ideas I came up with were complex. Sounds very cool though. *has always had a soft spot for time travel type things* Nice cover too, by the way. It looks quite professional like something I'd see at a bookstore.

Are Maliel and Vaevra new characters? I don't recall seeing them before. Also, what's the story behind Vaevra's, um, spawning? I imagine that demons do not make for good parental figures.

Cover image came from the first page of a Google image search, with some censoring/text in MS Paint. Super high-tech production! Hopefully it's good for motivation. November's almost heeeeere!

Yes, they are new characters. I came up with them over the summer, but didn't have time to do much other than write some character descriptions and plot points. Haha, Vaevra's mother is the Archdemon Leviathan (she and Asmodeus have a thing that sometimes involves teh sex). Vaevra was raised mostly in the City of Dis. He likes his mom well enough, but he and Asmodeus don't get on too well. Now they don't speak at all since Vaevra started working for the Third Circle which Belial helps run (she and Asmodeus also have a thing that involves them hating and trying to kill each other).

Vaevra doesn't really give a damn about Hell though. He works on Earth and pretty much does his own thing and looks out for number 1. Vaevra's kind of a loner who tends to prefer his own company; however, he does eventually find a friend and equal in Maliel.

I couldn't tell. XD You should people you labored over it for hours in photoshop, haha. Less than 3 dayssssssss!
